Photo paint portriat to corel draw question ?
I scanned a pic to my computer . Opened it in corel paint , converted it to a line drawing , edited it , saved it . Opened corel draw ,I then tried to get it to ungroup , so I could add some do dads , and it won't let me do anything . I resaved it to png, cdr, dxf and tried to edit it and none of them will let me . Basically , I real happy with the edited paint image , its almost ready to cut , but I don't know how to get it to the next steps ? I tried all the edit bitmap power trace features and was not happy with any of those options . Thanks !

Re: Photo paint portriat to corel draw question ?
the scanned pic is a RASTER image (composed of colored dots)
you need to convert the image from raster to VECTOR in the BITMAP/TRACE menu
to get vector cut paths to work with
raster to vector works best if you have a clean black and white source image
there will always be some cleanup req'd, it depends on how good the source image is
the sample image shown below would not trace too good, it would need lots of cleanup after tracing
