Does anybody know what it means? Or fixes?
It happened a couple of times last week during cuts. Everything stops.
I just need to press reset and start a new piece, but its annoying
Thanks

Re: fault: external e-stop required
forgot to say, i have my floating heat switch wired as a safety stop with shielded wire in place of the blue jumper wire in the bladerunner box, in case ohmic sensing fails.

Re: fault: external e-stop required
sounds like E-Stop could be getting triggered - if you have an e-stop button it should be normally closed or wired closed if no button - or disabled as an input - if it is an open active input, depending on the breakout board, it might act like an antenna and trigger false signals - adding a debounce delay can help
the floating head should not be on e-stop, it should be a soft stop, so you can resume afterward
just guessing but it could be a combination of the above

Re: fault: external e-stop required
All our Z axis home switches are normally closed with a machined hole for the wiring and are tucked behind a plate in a machined location for high frequency applications. Rikduk's applicaiton is high frequency so technically it could be EMF noise however it could also be a short in the Z home switch you setup for estop (if you set and estop) If not then it truely would be EMF noise. He is using a CandCNC Ohmic sensor which is technically not shielded against high frequency and is not reported to compatible.

Re: fault: external e-stop required
Thanks for your answers,
looks like noise from the switch to me, im gonna check it out,
how do I put a "delay" to e-stop ?
And yes, I run candcnc ohmic sensing with high frequency, but I finally got it to work (a magnet was all it took)

I think debounce delay is in config/general-config at top right, mine is set at 4
