VERY DIM CP LIGHT ON MP3000-Prataical CNC Table

I have been struggling on the installation of an mp3000 on a pratical cnc table. I can only get a very dim cp light on the mp3000. I have installed two different PCI boards into my computer, I have the correct lpt address into mach, and I just bought a new db25 extension cable from the computer to the mp3000. I have unhooked everything from the mp3000 box except the computer and the table I/O board. At this point when I take mach out of reset the cp light will come on very dim. I am at a loss I have gone over the instrections multiple times. Any help would be wonderful.
