Hey pony
And I tought my shop was to small: Nice table

Its a litte (not much) bigger than it appears. What you see in the picture is only half the width of my shop, to the left is my wood working area. The support to left of the cnc table is the center of my workshop.
Here is the rest of it (I also have a second floor, but don't use it at all):




I do have a very large and sunny addition to my workshop. Today I am building the first part of a double gate for my drive in this workshop extension:

Evey one has to start some place. I started in a 8x12' carport and the side walk in front of my tool shade. When we bought the place we are in I built my shop that I have know and at the time my 1100' sq ft was about just right. That was be for I bought the table and all my bending tools. Now its' 1100 sq ft too small, I use the tractor port to paint under hang the stuff from the trusses. Good luck with your sunny expansion nice and bright.

I just put in the jib hoist in about two weeks ago. I use to have to drag the sheets around the front of the table and then have some one get on the other side of me and then slide the sheets up on the table, what a pita. The hoist makes loading the table very nice

You can tell who wears the pants in this place, the first new building we put up was a 48x24 4 stall barnmaster for Mrs Pony, I got to use the existing 20x30 barn as a workshop. The old barn is on a 40x30 slab, with 20x30 as a barn (my workshop) and 20x30 as a carport - I eventually plan to rebuild the workshop/barn to use all 40x30. Perhaps its good my workshop is only 20x30, it makes my 2x4 table look bigger

I?ve been lurking around this forum as a visitor and finally decided to join the community. I recently become the proud owner of a Blaze2 from Plasma Route. As someone that did not have any idea how a CNC machine worked, I am amazed at the willingness of this community to provide their ideas and solutions to any and all problems. Right now I only have one picture of my table. I will post more as I rearrange all of the cables to the controller, computer and my Thermal Dynamics A60 plasma cutter.

What kind of exhaust system are you planing on using? U don't want to be breathing the smoke and dust.

My machine is actually a water table. Prior to adding the water I did a small sign and noticed the amount of smoke that came from the cutting. I added water and did another cutout and was surprised at how much the water ?absorbed? the smoke. I have plenty of 5 gal buckets (after using 20 gals of paint to paint my shop) that I plan on using for all the scrape metal. I just wished I had a bigger shop. I know it will be full of "toys", but at least my wife lets me have a "Man Cave".

Everybody seems to have a good setup that they like. I am moving into my new building in 3 months and I need more ideas and pictures on how to run an exhaust system for my table. I have a 5x10 Sammson/Plasmacam table. Some of the exhaust systems shown already are pretty cool. I'm just gonna try and put all of your ideas together and see what I come up with. Thanks!

Heres my table, downdraft exhuast with a 32" fan in the wall with gravity luovers, above the table is electric louvers on the same switch for intake air from the attic, in the welding shop I have a water tray (which catches alot), during alot of continuos cutting I turn on a 36" exhast fan in the welding side, I have changed the exhaust deal around 3 times, now the machine & room stays nice & clean. Please ignore the mess (been busy) Ha Ha

Nice setup, and I like the jib hoist too way cool to load the table. Did you use grease fitting to keep it swinging freely? I realy like the sine over the door. I have one like that too.

Eagle mnt. I wasn't sure if the crane would even work, it swings on a 6" coupler bowl, thought I might have to line with 1/8" teflon, but with a little spray grease it swings just fine (and that beam is heavy alone) like you said it sure is nice loading sheets now, the sign was from my helper(grandchildren) they like to go to the shop & hangout. Grandsons 5, granddaughter is 7, there learning alot.

How well does that job horse work for you?

I was thinking about one myself.

I could really use an extra set of hands around here.

I have read the reviews for the Home depot version and everyone said go with the Rockwell.

After looking at the two the job horse looks very well built. Home depot??????? not so good.

Please let me know if it was worth it. I was thinking about the welding kit option as well.

I like the jib hoist you built,that is very nice.........

I am going to have to build one as well.

Several years of lifting sheets of steel starts to take it's toll on the body after a while.
Not to mention having to worry about the table when loading them on.

If you have any pointers on building one, please let me know.

This is something I will need to do soon.

I'm a Little late to the party of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" Anyway here is my little table. It's a TM 2x4 with a TD82.
