Bad air solenoid on my 1250?

Post by Oldsarge »

I just upgraded to a PM85 when my 1250 started acting funny.... The air solenoid went bad, so I replacced it with a new SMC solenoid. When I hook up the air, the solenoid won't close. When I turn the amperage dial all the way down I can hear the coil clicking on and off, but the air won't shut off. This is the solenoid/valve where the torch plugs in. Any ideas?

Thanks, Just called, and Whoa! What's going on? An actual human being of the living breathing type answered the phone!

Yep, consensus is that it's going to take a trip to the shop to see what's going on with it!
