Does anyone know why this happens, see the circled areas, they are not shown as start points.
When I make the G-code and load into Mach 3 the torch goes down fires then comes up at these points.

Re: SheetCam, unnessesary cuts not show as Start points
I have found, sometimes there are lone nodes, on some drawings. Sheetcam will see this as a point and do exactly that, peirce and move on. If you add the file we can see what it looks like.

In sheetcam if you click on the nesting tool and magnify the area where this happens you may see a dot there like N79 said its a short line or node that sheetcam found. If that is what you see just go to "edit contours: and click on the dot and move it to another layer then un-click that layer it will be left out when you post process. Just move any dot you fine to that layer and they will be removed too.

When I take your drawing into sheetcam it removes duplicate lines. I don't see them in your corel dwg. My simulation runs fine. The remove duplicates in Sheetcam the checkbox is under applications option>Import. If this is not checked on you might try it.

Your cdr file looks fine to me, doesn't seem to be any stray nodes or line segments. Unfortunately as has been said here several times Sheetcam does sometimes play up with dxf files, try saving as an svg file and see if this fixes it.

I don't have CD so I had to do some conversion work. By the time I was able to do anything with it all looked good, except some open paths. Hard to say what was from the format conversions thought. Anyway hopefully this helps.

Re: SheetCam, unnessesary cuts not show as Start points
I looked at your .cdr file, and it seemed fine. I output it to a .dxf file (Rev. 11), and it looks ok also. Pulled the dxf into sheetcam and did a quick plasma tool operation on it. The thing I noticed is I had 30 start points. When I broke your single curve apart in CorelDraw, there were 30 separate curves. How many layers to you have in the sheetcam drawing? It appears you have at least 2 (I noticed that S30 doesn't have a red line to it).

the tree outline also has 7 start points
i've never used corel to draw, just autocad
it is usually an indication of a broken line or open joint
