Western Fire Ring
Does anyone have a Western themed fire ring? I'm going to build a 36" fire pit for a wedding gift and thought an 8" tall ring around the top would look nice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I really liked the dairy one ole BigJim did. Nice work Jim!

Maybe these will help. I put the John Wayne one together and the other one I think came from someone on this site.

Re: Western Fire Ring
I converted the DWG posted here using Illustrator CS5; Its fairly large in size. I wasn't able to upload it here, even after zipping it. I uploaded the converted file to my website.
Hopefully this will work for you:
EDITED - link removed, a better conversion is posted later in the thread

I am not sure why your dxf file is so large. I deleated 75% of it in autocad and it stayed above 8 meg. I converted your dwg file to DXF and cleaned it up. Now is only 823k. I hope this helps.

Re: Western Fire Ring
I just did a straight conversion using Adobe Illustrator CS5. I don't think their DXF support is very good. I occasionally download DXF files from here that Illustrator claims are not valid, yet http://www.dxfconverter.org/ will open them.MQUICK wrote:I am not sure why your dxf file is so large.
