Y axis motor turning wrong Direction when coming back

Hi guys I am new to this CNC plasma cutting. I bought a kit off of eBay couple years ago and just getting around to putting it together I've got everything working except my y-axis when it moves forward it's OK but when I try to go back the A axis motor is turning the wrong way.
something in the settings but I don't know what it is please help

you have the wrong hook up for the "A" motor driver on the "dir" connection.
the dir signal is either a 0 volt or +5 volt, if there is no change from one to the other the motor will not change directions.
check the pin numbers in the ports and pin for motor outputs.
