John Deere and Hitachi 35 bucket ears

Post by endoverend47 »

Its about time I share something. Heres a file for the bucket ears on John Deere and Hitachi 35 Excavators. Works well, I made it and used it to build some ripper blades. Factory buckets use 5/8ths material.

Some software just won't jive with some versions of dxf. Try this older dxf version

I thought you had to be a contributing member to be able to download files. I know when I did not pay my annual fee I could not download them.

I believe the annual membership fee is $20, which will allow you access to any of the vector files - dxf, pcm, etc. Once you have become a member, I will be more than happy to email this file to you. Click on the link below for the membership form.

Which areas are you wanting to smooth. Open the file, mark it up, and take a screen shot and post so we can see. Also there are several files posted above. Which one did you open that you wish to edit?

Yes - something like "H" 0.01 would probably do it. I'm not sure which file you downloaded, but the "rough" edges could be the result of an auto trace from a photo. The "rough" edges most likely would not impair the functionality of the part, but why not make is as good as you can before cutting. The Video Manual Chapter 6 describes the use of the Smooth tool in detail.
