I scaled mine up to make a 4ft ball. Used just about two 5x10 sheets of 10ga. Added a removable ash tray and a hinged door. 15 customer requested designs. Build time was about 10 hours design time about 20 lol

Nice work! That's got to be one expensive fire pit. What do you charge your customers for one like this? I'm thinking between 3-4K to cover your time and materials.
Thanks,
David

I undercut myself a bit on these, Same customer bought 3 of them and charged 7k. This customer has one of them in his store front, I have gained free advertisement from this. so it was a win win!

I am a rookie at this and am having trouble with the file. I cannot seem to upload the dxf appropriately. Is there anyone who has this in an svg file?

what you will need is 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons. If you have an array function with your software , this is easy to do. Here is a link to a calculator that will help you determine piece size necessary to build the firepit to the size of your choice.

If you lay it out all flat, you can leave little tabs in from each corner of each hex and start with the bottom and bend them all up to fit without having to hold the pieces. I have built the two halves and then decided where my door was going to be, tacked the two halves together and hinged my door.

You can with a smaller pit but a 48" pit almost requires 2 5x10s
