plasmacam gantry worn.
has anyone had the lip on the gantry, where the carriage rides flatten and roll over an edge? i'm talking about the bottom corner where the spring loaded piece is, that one bearing that is at a angle.

Re: plasmacam gantry worn.
I own several of the DHC2 tables, and have not had that happen. Perhaps you could share a photo so we can figure out how to fix it.

Re: plasmacam gantry worn.
The DHC2 has the new style gantry tube. The edge he is referring to is longer and is folded creating a wider and rounded edge. The older DHC gantry was built leaving the edge straight, over time the cam roller flattens the edge causing to much clearance. I just replaced my gantry tube on my DHC. The new one has the rolled edge like the DHC2. That with a new rack and new drive gear and new belts, it cuts like a new machine. I have more than paid for the parts in time and material saved.

Thanks for the info on your DHC. For anyone interested, the upgraded replacement gantry tube is available directly from the Plasmacam Owner's Community Forum site.
