Garden Planting Stake DXF Designs
Having benefited from the numerous cut files made available on this forum I have been wanting to return the favor and contribute but until recently just had not taken the time. Here is another that I hope others will find useful and maybe add to the list of plants & veggies

Re: Planting Stakes
Nice work dbrub2! Very well done. And kudos to c_rossman for a great nesting job. These will fit one exactly 1/2 of a 4x4 sheet.

Re: Planting Stakes
I think 16 ga or 14 ga would work well for these.

Re: Planting Stakes
Thank you for the reply. I have only had my table going since last Friday, so learning a ton. Printer a gnome from this site on some 16ga and it seemed bit flimsy. Should be fine in good garden soil but maybe not so in hard packed outside of garden depending on environment. I might try these on some 14ga.

Re: Planting Stakes
How does one go about matching the font if they want to change one of veggie names? Say change cucumber to Kohlrabi.

Re: Planting Stakes
Marty - you could take a look at dafont.com or one of the other free font sites to see if you can find a font that matches up. Then download and install it into your computer for use with Inkscape or whichever cad program you are using. Here is one with the wording you requested, but a different font. Perhaps you can use it as is.martyy wrote: Tue Aug 23, 2022 9:36 pm How does one go about matching the font if they want to change one of veggie names? Say change cucumber to Kohlrabi.

Re: Planting Stakes
Thanks again David. That looks like a fairly close match . I guess I could also replace all of the text with new font and then it would match if I really want them to be the same. I do use Inkscape and have a long way to go in learning it. Thankfully there are lots of great howto videos and this forum. I will get a silhouette of a kohlarabi and try a cut later this week.

Re: Planting Stakes
Did not cut the Kolhrabi yet, but did the others. Turned out great. Have not decided if I will paint them or leave them shined up with the clear coat on them. I cut them with 14ga. Heavy enough to use as a weapon!

Re: Planting Stakes
I personally would prefer to paint them a brighter color so they stand out but I don't think it matters.Dirtmotor wrote: Tue Oct 11, 2022 7:40 am Is it better to leave these raw and let them rust or paint ?

Re: Garden Planting Stake DXF Designs
Had a request for "Weeds" which I thought was quite fitting for many gardens (mine for sure) The SVG letters could use a little clean-up but thought it turned out ok. It cut great just like the originals and I think it is a good addition to the original collection. Long live the Dandelion!

Re: Garden Planting Stake DXF Designs
Nice work Marty! You could use "Path, Simplify" on the text to reduce node count, but I expect it cut very well as is.
Thanks for sharing your design.
