magnetic torch mount

Post by acourtjester »

I ran watched a video from a guy using a Langmuir table and showed a cheap magnetic holder for a machine torch.
Here is the site where they are sold.

I'm not sure I'd be a fan of a printed mount but hey, it works and it is pretty inexpensive!

I have not hurried to make a Snap'NCut version to fit the crossfire tables. Maybe I need to pursue this..... Ours are $285 but they are machined aluminum construction made in the USA.

Interesting!

Tom - I thought I remembered that you posted some photos of a 3D printed magnetic torch mount. Perhaps I am mistaken. But I see no reason why the 3D printed version would not perform well. Maybe not as robust as the aluminum counterpart, but still a viable option in my opinion.

I did print one for my table, different design, You would be surprised at the number of 3-D printed CNC tables and accessories out there.

Thanks for the update Tom! Many don't have access to a 3D printer, but for those who do it is amazing what can be accomplished.
