Hi, You plan to BUILD a cnc table? Why not get one that is already built? do you believe you will save money? If you have the knowledge to clump together stepper motors, and circuit boards, and wires, and sensors, etc., then go for it! I do not have that knowledge, so I am limited to the commercial offerings. I use the Samson 510 and the PlasmaCam cnc plasma tables and DesignEdge software. I know that many people have great success with the other software packages and table setups. I wish you well!

Getting something already built definitely defets what I enjoy. The build has been very enjoyable for me and the knowledge obtained in the process is very rewarding. To be able to make parts and art work I also find enjoyableso. To just ave someone make those for me is not the same. Is it not about saving money. I will save money, fgured about 2-4k less than the purchase of used or a new equivalent unit. But the saving money is not what it is about for me. I am obtaining more knowledge everyday day of this build and look forward to the items it will produce. In the end It would be more economical to just spend time and resources on marketing someone else's product.. However that is not my goal. If my hobby provides any income, that is an added bonus for me.

Excellent choice I stand with your reasoning, as a heavy DIY type who has built his own table. There are many here who have done the same, lots of info for you to continue on with you wishes. You can do some research here by using the search feature in the upper right.
I am sending you a PM from this site for you to have.

Welcome from across the River in Wisconsin. I think Bulltear/Starlab CNC is over by Lindstrom aren’t they?
