Re: Cabin
Very nice. What software / hardware do you use to do this? iPad with pencil?

Re: Cabin
For PC, you could use Inkscape (free download)caretech wrote: Tue Jan 30, 2024 3:01 pm Very nice. What software / hardware do you use to do this? iPad with pencil?
https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-1.2.2/
or CorelDraw.

For Ipad, I like and use VectorQ.

Re: Cabin
I very much agree!! In fact, I much prefer using the mouse along with my 27" desktop monitor than using a pen with my iPad pro.AryaKay wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 12:09 pmto make a very long story short, a pen does not make vector editing faster or less tedious, in fact it does the opposite, i only use a pen to draw what i cant draw in vectors with a mouse, and i cant do that in vector software, and thats tedious without accessories like a huion keydial, and a 16" tablet is tedious because its so small, and a larger one is tedious to fit on the desk with the keyboard and mouse, and the pen (and accessories) is tedious to set up optimally, and switching between screens is tedious because working on one screen tablet laying flat on the desk all the time would be tedious, and I still use the mouse a lot (very lot) more than the pen, a pen can be more effective than a mouse sometimes but not less tediouscaretech wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 7:33 am...I find doing a lot of vector editing with a mouse to be tedious and have thought that having a hi-res digitizing touchscreen could make the process much faster

Re: Cabin DXF Conversion
Thanks for the feedback based on experience, both of you. I don't have an iPad --never bought one, believe it or not -- and it sounds like I can continue to save that money for better use elsewhere.

Re: Cabin DXF Conversion
I purchased my iPad Pro specifically for use with VectorQ, a free app that is not available for standard desktop computers. Other than that, I use my desktop computers for all other tasks - cad related and otherwise.caretech wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2024 10:23 pm Thanks for the feedback based on experience, both of you.
