I do not think that I have seen that exact shape in a fire pit. Definitely unique.
I like them!
I see, what appears to be some minor slag on the inside as I troll through your picture (haha) .
Did you stick weld them or was that inner shield wire?

Mig welded, a few blow throughs while I was getting settings sorted
