tutorial of image to file assembly

Post by acourtjester »

Here is a tutorial on image to file procedural method using the Paint program and how to clean it up to SVG or other formats. The last half shows moving into a STL for 3-D printing if you like, the first part will help to make files for plasma cutting.

Tom - that's a very interesting tutorial. I do use and like Paint.net. I had not heard of the free program he used to convert from png to svg. I'll have to check that one out. I would personally go with Fusion 360 for the final step as that is the program I am used to using for my 3D printing. Pretty cool stuff and lot's of fun to be had!!

Super cool, thanks Tom. Going to have to watch it again and try it for myself.
