Candcnc dragon cut start up issue

Post by tentonjj »

Just trying to get my machine going with the Mach 3 software. I have the dragon cut kit from candcnc. All of my motors have power from the box. The only thing that will not light up on the box is the charge pump light on the ubob panel. It says I may not have communication to the parallel port on the pc, but what the he'll does that mean? Also I cannot find the candcnc profile in the profile choices. Sorry if these are dumb questions. I knew I was gonna have problems like this. Any help would be great.

Jayson,

Try here:

http://www.cnczone.com/forums/cnc_plasm ... _machines/

Tom Caudle aka torchhead (owner of CandCnc) lurks there and is always willing to help with his (and others) gear.

Ok so I don't know how but I figured it out. They all 4 move. But now it doesn't seem that the side motors move at the same time or at the same speed.

While running Mech3, under the config menu, select "Slave Axis" From there select the motor you wish to slave, with the side Axis motor. In my case the side axis motor was Y and the Slave is A
