A friend of mine was wanting me to cut out his fire departments A shift mascot, the Chupacabras, lol. I have been working on it but can't seem to get it quite right with inkscape. All he wants is the center, not the entire maltese cross. I was trying to basically make it solid, with most of the detail being single lines. Any help or tips would be great! Thanks!

or can anyone tell me if im wasting my time using inkscape? Ive heard great things about corel and may purchase that instead. I just can't seem to get good results in inkscape.

No I don't belive you wasted your time using inkskape.......I used a combination of inkskape, vectormagic and designedge
It took me about a half an hour, I don't use corel and I am sure it is far superior to inkskape but inkscape is free. It just takes time to learn it. I still dont have a clue what to do sometimes but it is starting to get a lot easier every day.....
It will still need a little work....the letters will need to be stenciled and there are a couple pcs that will drop out

Thanks a ton! I was starting to think I wansnt gonna get a reply. I worked on this forever and couldnt get it quite right. Still learning Inkscape. Hopefully i will figure it out soon so I can start contributing here as well. Thanks again!
