Try these I make key rings out of them and sell them for $2.00. Also look on here for trouser trout.

Good idea... the fish is cool, you could make a ton of them... different species and sell them tied together with fishing lines as a wind chime!
Too cool.
Too cool.

I cut out small crosses and local school logos with they can be used as backpack tags or key chains. The crosses make good book markers. try to keep the size under 3 inches

Just about any shape or design can be scaled down with a hole cut in it to use for wind chimes.

You know.... a cool idea for a small craft booth (we have a lot of them up here) would be an "Assemble Your Own" windchime.
Have a bunch of stock shapes cut out in little bins following a few themes... Beach, Hunters, Stars/Planets, Fishing, Boating, Guns, Kids, Disney, Letters, Shapes, Bugs, Sports Logos....
Sell them for 10 or so... Let people pick out their own and have the rings and strings with a simple attachment to connect them.
You could then sell the "Dangler"... or the middle thing that hits them for an additional 2 bucks... or something...
People would flock to your booth, given the opportunity people love to be crafty and make their own
Maybe my price point is off.... im new and havent done much cost analysis.
You could make up a few themed ones also and have them ready to go for the not-so-crafty folks to grab.
No royalties required if you make millions...
I would imagine that this could be good for new guy like myself... get your name and company name out there and have people see your work.... could create some follow on work....

I really like the "Assemble Your Own" idea. Kind of like a "paint your own" pottery place. Those are really popular these days. Thanks for the idea.

It would be worth a try at least, I bet during tourist season (nothing like deer season) up in Maine, you could clean up with your scraps.
A couple totes full of shapes and even a metal tube or 2 cut to length to make a musical tune...
Another thing that is popular in the great state of Michigan is some sort of floating marble... its like a shooter marble that is spirally covered in decorative wire and has an eye on top and bottom.... could make for a neat topper that would catch the sun and sparkle a little.
I really hope you do something like this, would be cool to offer some assistance to such a great community you guys have here!

Re: Small Cut Designs for Leftover Material?
My favorite is a 3.75" round 'coin' with '2 It' or 'TUIT' cut into it.
(I'll do that when I get a 'round to it').
They double as color samples for the powder coating side of the biz.
A lot of them are just given away to good customers as goodwill.
$.07/pound as scrap or $6.00 as an impulse buy.
Not too hard to justify...
Poetic, isn't it?

It's easy to make.dunnmfg wrote:Dan do you have the round 2 it dxf file? Thanks!
Just make a circle in a size that fits the majority of what you find to be waste and add the text; '2' and 'It', or "TUIT'.
Do a little sizing and font decisions, then cut away.
I'm not being stingy. It's just that I don't have the file here at my home office. It's on the computer at the shop.
I cut a lot of 12~16" circles (rings) that leave a four-point star in the center, and the 3.75" circle fits.
If I have waste that is too small for the Tuit, I also make a business-card sized key ring thingy that has "Man Card" cut into it. The girlz like this one - so they can threaten to take away a guys' 'Man Card' if he gets out of line
