Cross section from 3d model to make a stacked puzzle?

Post by dustywill »

Is there such a software that will break down a 3D model into crosssections so you can cut and restack. Something like this http://www.cardboardsafari.com/shop/product_cbs1043.php

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dustywill,

check out Alibre Design Personal Edition $200.

Confirm on the website however, that it has the import / export options you'll need. The next one up is $1600 so hopefully the Peronal Edition has what you need.

RhinoNest, which is a module for Rhino3D does this.
