A buddy needed some filter racks for his paint booth, boy oh boy do i love 26ga galv
Turned out great though, with only a couple hiccups from galv buildup on the finecuts shield.
I've used different anti splatter sprays on the torch and found that the gel type nozzle dip works the best, wondering what others use when cutting galv.

Re: Filter Rack
That's a lot of cutting. Looks great. I don't cut much galvanized, so no help there.

Re: Filter Rack
Thanks guys, I do a bunch of galv cutting for a local shop, so i've had to learn (with lots of help from members here) to do HVAC piping and such. I still hate cutting galv as i have to babysit the cuts more than other materials due to the buildup.

I cut very little galvanized as well, I did a full sheet of 16 ga when I made he E Links for the plaz table. I just did a short pause and knocked off the build up with a small SS brush as needed.

I do that as well, but that also adds to the babysitting... i much prefer carbon/stainless/aluminum over galvanized... but money is moneySegoMan DeSigns wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 2:09 pm I cut very little galvanized as well, I did a full sheet of 16 ga when I made he E Links for the plaz table.
