Do a search of your hard drive for the files stated above.
I can edit the units, materials, etc. but when I click on the edit material data files directly I get a different file than what the program shows.
I found out the program is storing the edited data in this location:
C:\Users\tnbnd\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Plasma Estimator V3
But the program files are located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Plasma Estimator V3
I have not found time to figure out how to have it just overwrite the original file
Ok, that's where the info is at on my machine (Win7). Apparently, starting with Vista it was decided that programs don't write to the Program Data folder, but rather to the App Data folder. Shared access, multiple users, blah blah blah.

I'm not sure how to force the program to write to the folder pointed at when the "edit material data files directly" button is pushed. For now, I'll just put a shortcut to the C:\Users\Owner\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Plasma Estimator V3 on my desktop, and click on it to directly edit metal info. Same place for labor, etc.
