Some projects I've done since I bought my table

Post by GoingCustom »

wish I would have taken pics of everything I've made, but here is a small sample...

Straight piece through the center is a brace bolted to the mounting brackets.

College alumni olympics, just doesn't have the tires on the wheels

These were made first and then the design carried out to the fence ----^

That is nice stuff!

On that fence....is every panel a full sheet of steel? Spendy fence, if so!

Thanks for the compliments :) Getting better and better! (pics weren't in any particular order). On the fence, yes, there are 13 panels, each 4x8x1/8 with 3x3x3/16 wall square posts, and then the gate which is a 4x14x3/16 panel with 4x4x1/4 wall posts on either side. There is a little over 181 linear feet cut out of each panel. I built the fence for my sister and brother-in-law when they remodeled their house. I donated a couple panels and half the posts (left over from previous projects and what not). They spent roughly $2,500-$3,000 in materials? They already had the electric gate opener from the chain link fence/gate that was previously there. I donated the labor mainly because a new fence wasn't in the original remodel budget, but I dispise chain link fences, lol. So I was able to convince them to do it by donating my time (roughly 100 hours for design/cutting/install). Has been one of the funnest/hardest projects I've done.

few more pics - can't wait to get a larger table so I don't have to index!

Gate frame is 2x4x1/4 wall, except for the right side upright, it is 1/8"wall to help with weight.

Wow! Great fence job!!
I had allot of my friends come over and donate their time to put up my wooded privacy fence. The first part started out nice and straight, but as the day went on and the beer was flowing nicely, the care went down hill fast.
Moral of the story, do not break out the keg untill the job is completed!

Great work! Explain the ceiling light please... it looks like theres some white plastic or something, but how are your fingers getting around it? Is the plastic just flexing where your fingers are?

And how is the plastic held in place?
I think I'm the oldest 10 year old boy on the forum...

They are actually skylights. There is about 3-4 feet between my hands and the actual glass, just the way the picture is taken makes it look like a light. The grates were just made as accents for the skylights and for something that you don't normally see. Was bright as hell, why I had my sunglasses on lol.

Thanks Bill :) Thanks again for the help on the phone and looking forward to trying out the patinas!

In other news, here are some more pics of the grates that are in the kitchen. They are the same width as the one I already posted, but about a 14" longer.

very impressive. you make me want to get busy with my table
There is plenty of room at the top - and the top is where you want to be. Whenever you do a project - do the hardest part first and the rest will be easy.
