Here is a bumper/brush guard I built for my tractor the other night.
I am shredding my pasture and the mesquite brush is too high and I wanted to keep from scraping off the paint on the front of my tractor and help keep the radiator clear of thorns.
I bent the tubing and added the expanded metal to help push everything away.
I also cut and welded a blank oval and bolted another right on top with the ford logo.
On the bottom of the guard I added a shelf to carry tool boxes, gas cans, coolers or whatever.......
I also added a shotgun holder.
The butt of the shotgun fits into a butt holder on the shelf (not in photo) and the barrel clamps in a special bracket I made and welded to the top (also not finished when photo was taken).
I am now adding a rubberized coating to the barrel bracket so it holds it without scratching the barrel.
Yes.....I may be a redneck but the shotgun is for all the rattlesnakes starting to come out
Just thought I would share.

I see one MAJOR design flaw. Shotgun too far away from the driver! If there is a rattlesnake around I ain't gettin off the tractor to get the gun

Re: Tractor bumper/brush guard
Thanks Digitizer_Guy....
I got to try out the bumper the last few days cutting some of the brush at my place.
It worked out good and kept all the branches and thorns off the grill and hood.
It pushed it all away and saved the paint.
I am going to mount the shotgun on it this week and arm her
