Newbie here crossing over from wood to plasma CNC. So far so good, just trying to learn the quirks of plasma.

Welcome aboard, many great projects posted here to get your feet wet in the plasma pool.
I bounce back and forth as my table is dual purpose have fun with both.
Just remember to home Z in plasma is down and wood it up.

I started learning both at the same time and on my own with no prior knowledge of either. Working metal since my teens figured I'd gravitate towards plasma and I did, had way more tools (and ability
) to work with metal compared to wood anyway. My personal experience plasma is the less complicated process to master.
