Just signed up to this platform and wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Michael Brandt and I own and operate a custom fabrication and mobile welding business in Chattanooga, TN by the name of Garage Bound, LLC.
I just recently got the new Piranha B-Series 5’ by 10’ plasma table with a Powermax 85. I have been using it and love the machine and its ease of operation, as this is my very first cnc experience and endeavor.
I have a subscription to Fusion 360; however, I don’t know the first thing about using any of its capabilities yet. I currently have to rely on others to do my drawing but am wanting to change that.
Before tackling Fusion 360, I would first like to learn how to use the 2D drawing capabilities I have inside my Hypertherm Pronest LT software. I would genuinely appreciate someone’s time to walk me through drawing very basic stuff, as right now I cannot even create a square with a centered hole in the middle.
Anyone on Instagram can find me there as: garageboundllc and finding_future_fabricators
Thank you,
Michael Brandt

Re: Garage Bound, LLC Piranha B-Series Table
Welcome to the site Michael. I could help you with the Fusion but have never worked with Pronest. Not sure how powerful of a drawing package Pronest is or if it's just offering you "canned" parts but with Fusion you can do anything and I would focus on that unless Pronest gives you everything you need. Fusion is not so good for artsy stuff but for mechanical 2d or 3d drawing its amazing to say the least. Best of luck.

Learning fusion is not as daunting as it seems, there are lots of videos on fusion but most are hard to follow if you don't have the basics down. I learned with these videos, it went well because they take you through it slow. Play the videos on one device and follow along with your laptop click for click. Takes some notes when you get to the cutting set-up part. Some of these videos were made before Fusions big upgrade so you may have to search around a little for the right options.

One more thing, if your using a laptop get a external mouse with a wheel on top, $30 @ Best Buy, the pad on laptops just adds to the time and confusion of learning Fusion.
