Great knife making info!

I was doing some web surfing looking for some info on knife making and ran across this guy named Ray Rogers.

I just thought I would pass it along.

He looks like the MacGyver of folding knives.

His website offers a huge amount of info on how to build folding knives, mainly the tech side of liner locks and stuff like that.

Also home made forges, hardness testers and a bunch of other stuff.

I didn't think the Admin would get upset with giving this info out on plasmasoider because he really doesn't sell anything on his site except a few old VHS tapes and and some dishes.....Really, he has a garage sale section with some old NASCAR movies and yard sale stuff.

He lives in the woods in an old log cabin and his workshop is two metal containers put together........

Funny thing though, his shop has more tools in it than mine and is very organized

Don't forget to check out the bears eating his lunch under his forge cover.

He really has some in depth info on making some cool stuff and it really is the best info so far that I have found on the web.

From start to finish he shows how to make a nice liner lock.

Ray has been around the knife world for a long time now. He listens (or hears) different music than a lot of folks but is good people. He makes some nice knives and an all around knowledgeble guy. Just getting to his place can be an experience!

It seems like guys like that are the ones that build some of the coolest stuff.....

After seeing what his shop consist of and how so many have to have the big shop, the best tools and more of an image thing, it really shows how much craftsmanship is involved rather than frills.

I think he has some very talented skills.

I love to see people who literally take the bare necessities and produce quality projects.

Does he have utilities out there? or is he using generators?
