Alot to learn!

Post by Grillzy207 »

Hey everyone, 27 years of age, from Devon UK and very New to this game! purchased a Swift Cut 1250 last month and only just have it all up and running.
I have a product in the Agricultural industry which has been selling very well for the past 12 months and slowly getting all the tools needed to complete full metal fabrication in house....CNC plasma table was the last piece of the puzzle, already regretting getting a half sheet table but size of my workshop limits me to this size.

did a year of CAD ion college 10 years ago so having to dig deep and try and remember the basics. im using SKetchUp pro for 3D drawings and DXF files, slowly getting my head around Inkscape for the arty farty stuff and Swift-Cam / Mach4 to create the cut ready Gcodes. all seems to be working smoothly so far.

Looking forward to joining the CNC plasma Community :D

Cheers!

Good show, Plasma CNC is a great new world to get into. If you have questions about Inkscape or other things you can start by using the search function in the upper right. Inkscape had been talked a lot here and is a great software package.
