Hello all. I am new to the community and to working on CNC controllers. However I have used machinery for years that is CNC. It all started when I got shafted after buying a plasma table. Seller sent videos of it running. Well when it got here it was in a thousand pieces and the controller won't boot. Not to mention most of the ribbon cables from the PC weren't even connected. Obviously they had someone working on the PC portion who did not know motion control systems. I managed to get power to the PC and motion control section but no go on boot. So here I am.

Welcome aboard, what a mess, sad there are people out there like that. Have you tried to Google the manuals for the motion control, or other info to help. Many DIY types here so maybe you will find help. Looks like an older industrial machine, you may look for upgrades for the PC and controller. You did not list your location.

welcome, seems like you have your work cutout for you, I did a search for cleveland motion control and although they are an automation company they don't seem to specialise in plasma (I was interested as I'd not heard of them before) so you may be struggling ...... if it all becomes too much.... you could bin the motion controller side and go linuxcnc + plasmac as you may be up and running quicker than trying to get support from an automation company.
See how it goes with getting info
http://linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/pla ... guide.html
https://forum.linuxcnc.org/plasmac
note, I don't use it myself, but it seems to be the current most cost effective solution for cnc plasma at present and has come on a lot with its plasmac front end development specifically for plasma.
just an option for you to consider or be aware of if you are getting no where.
good luck (let us know how you get on or which way you go).
