CNC new guy - Langmuir Crossfire XL with Titanium
Hello there to all and glad I stumbled onto this website/forum... I am new to most of this on a "garage level" although I have been a Maker for years...and I have been metalworking since the age of about 15 (dads a 2nd generation union tin knocker).... About two weeks ago I took delivery and built my Langmuir Crossfire XL... got a Titanium 45 and have been cutting with mild success for about a week now... mostly learning curves and growing pains are my stumbling blocks (plus I need to put another 220 line in my garage.. air is my only current one)... Feed rates and amperages seem to be my learning downfall so far.... I'm using Fusion 360 for CAD and CAM Posting.. and Langmuirs FireControl for communicating with the unit.. personally I think all are very good and intuitive software solutions especially for being FREE... So, in a nutshell, I have some handheld plasma experience and ZERO CNC experience so I will appreciate any assistance the forum offer although it may be a while before I can contribute anything but newbie type questions so I appreciate your help and patience!! Cheers and thanks in advance for any help you can offer.. I will certainly be an active member once I know anything at all.. Droop
