torchmate post-flow
does any one know how to change the post flow on their torchmate? I have water tabkle and the post flow is way to long after it stops cutting. It makes a huge mess. Any tips would be appreciated.

Re: torchmate post-flow
This may be controlled by your plasma cutter, and not the Torchmate software. Perhaps check your plasma cutter users manual for information on adjusting post flow time.

Re: torchmate post-flow
After a cut when my torch comes back and splashes up I just jog it real quick over existing sheet. If there is nothing there I put a piece under it to minimize splashing up.

That works okay if you always have your zero in the same place.

Re: torchmate post-flow
this was a problem for me too. I always forgot to put my piece of sheet metal there, until I just put one of our stub cans in the corner, so now one lives there and it's almost never an issue.bwright wrote: Tue Mar 30, 2021 2:05 pm does any one know how to change the post flow on their torchmate? Or maybe lower your water level. I have my level below the bottom of the cutting grates and this has never been a problem for me. I use a draft system in conjunction with the water for more efficient smoke removal.

Re: torchmate post-flow
Im using a Torchmate 4800 and the side walls are almost the same size as the ribs/slats. This was never an issue with my Torchmate x.
When this machine returns home it blasts the corner and no matter what it would spray everywhere on the post purge. With my little square tube capped on the bottom, it's a non issue as long as no one messes with it.
