Is there a easy way to add part offset
I have a table with a homing feature but when I import a part from sheetcam it hits the limits because the cut lines are off piece. Without manually adding offset is there a setting that I’m missing. Thanks

After you home your gantry you should be able to jog the gantry away from the limit switch's and manually set a new X0 Y0 location. Maybe not as I am not sure what table you are using but my guess is that you can do that somehow. Let us know what table you have.

Not sure if this is what you are wanting, but if you want to shift the drawing within SheetCam off the edges, You can change to X and Y value at the bottom to move the drawing. If you want 1/4" off the edges add 0.250 to each value, the numbers are the center of the drawing. You can also move separate parts to close gaps with other parts using this to, just highlight the part and change the number for the position of that part.

If you click on nesting on the toolbar (the + with arrows) you can manually drag the parts around. You can also select a part and move it with the arrow keys and rotate it with < & >. You can adjust the amount of each move. I think it's in the right click menu while in nesting mode.
If your part plus kerf widths is larger than the material, you will have to scale it down slightly.

Yes I knew that manually jogging was an option, but was hoping that somewhere in sheetcam there was a setting to enter offset value. My dad and I are using a Langmuir XR table and was hoping to make it easier for my dad to cut items without helping him though every step. Having to manually jog will just have to be another step.

You don't need to jog the table. Just move the part inside the material boundaries in sheetcam before you post process.
I don't put my material at the home 0,0 point as set by the limit switches. I always zero the table to the edge of the material before I start cutting. Then I can line the parts up to the material in sheetcam and cut away.
Just SOP here.

Re: Is there a easy way to add part offset
So in my head what I was hoping to do was install a sheet indexing jig in the home axis corner so we could just square a sheet from there. Have a offset build into sheetcam so part didn’t need to be manually done. The cutting software is going to have a built-in feature to name the sheet and it will remember the cuts made and nest future cuts to utilize the most of a sheet. Where in Nebraska is your shop ours is SE of Hastings.

What cutting software are you using? It sounds like you don't really need to use sheetcam since you have the ability to do nesting in your cutting program.
My table is at a friend's farm shop S of Lincoln.

The cutting software is called fire control. It is Langmuir systems software program. The nesting with sheets is still in the designing phase they haven't released anything with it yet but sounds like it would be a nice option. My dad bought the table for retirement fun but has struggled with the design and programing. He can draw it out on paper and from there things get foggy.

Maybe a Wacom drawing pad would help. Draw right into the computer instead of on paper.

Re: Is there a easy way to add part offset
Why not just move it in your CAD program when drawing. Have the offset as part of your drawing template. Then when you import the drawing into SheetCam use "drawing origin" in the screen that pops up and your piece should be offset to whatever you wanted it to be to match your indexing jig.
