Mach 4 THC moves 1.5" down to move instead of up

Hello,
I am running a TruCut table with Hypertherm Plasma and Mach4. Everything works great but the THC function. Instead of moving up to travel to the cut it moves down from the torch height and hits my table.

Sounds like you've got a sign reversed somewhere - plus instead of minus, or visa versa.

how do I change that? tried changing plus and minus ports around in configure but it did not work

I don't use Mach4, but I do use Mach3 on one of my cnc routers. I have never had your problem, so I couldn't tell you right of the top of my head. Is this a new table to you or one that was working and just started having this problem? Does this table work fine with thc turned off?

Yes it does work with the THC off, but my thinner metal heats up and changes heights and ends up messing my cut up. This table ran mach3 flawlessly with thc but the computer that came with it crashed shortly after I bought it. I thought uprgrading to Mach4 would be a good idea, it has been one headache after another.

Maybe try going back to Mach3.

You did not state what brand the THC unit is. You should look at the input to the BOB for the THC output signals, Make sure the up signal goes to the up pin on the BOB in Mach 4 of 3 which ever you are using. Many of the THCs have a up and down LED and Mach on the diagnostic page should also show up and down indicators, check to see that they are lighting the same directions if you have a test mode on the THC. I hope you did not switch the plus and minus inputs from the plasma unit to the THC.

I am using a PMDX-411. is that in the input signals to check plus and minus?

Did you do your post processing on the same computer that crashed? If so you would have had to re-install that and it may not be configured properly for use with your THC.
