Your software is WRONG! It is not cuttable as drawn. You have ISLANDS that need to be fixed!

Here is your design. The blue is WATER. The green is LAND.

"Drive the design."

Place your cursor anywhere on the land, and then move around your design. If there is any land on the design that you cannot get to WITHOUT crossing over water, then you have created an ISLAND, and that part of the design will fall out when it is cut.

You should have shown the pistol overlay somewhere in the drawing. Which parts of the pistol are in the second layer???

Looks good Harry, i only found 2 spots around the barrel that i need to adjust to cut at that size. I was about to cut it a tad smaller.

I guess Joe didn't bother to read the original post. Harry said " The pistol is cut separately and is an overlay". I hadn't even read Joe's posts, but I thought I would show it as separate pieces so others could see what the pieces look like. Here is the file.

If you look at the time stamps of his post and my reply, you will note that he SAW my reply, and I believe he edited his post to ADD that line which was not originally there, in order to clarify things. I could be wrong.

Yes, Davey boy! I read his original post. I believe that line was ADDED AFTER I pointed out the error. But keep trying! Who knows. Maybe the admin will add more STARS for you to :Like :Like :Like :Like :Like for!

What time zone is he in? I could be wrong. I don't think that line was in the original post I read. Maybe it was. I am left-handed, so I think in pictures. I saw the design and saw the islands. I read, "my software says its cuttable. " It is possible that I stopped reading at that point.

But at least it gave David some fodder to chew on, and a chance to trip over himself to TRY to make me look foolish, because he LIVES for moments like that. He failed, of course.

Okay Harry! I missed it then. If the hand and gun are a layer, then the file looks great.

This kind of stuff turns new people away from forums like this. They come on here and see bickering over a post of someone sharing a file and they don’t want to have anything to do with it, let alone share something they’ve designed for fear of getting picked apart. I believe this section of the forum is called “DXF clip art file sharing”

Very much agree! If it gets too much out of hand - as has happened in the past - I expect Admin will reach out to those involved to calm things down a bit.

Things are calm, David. I evidently missed, or did not read the OP's comment about doing an overlay. I responded as if the original design were to be cut out of a single piece of metal. The OP stated that the overlay clause was in the original post, and I admitted several times that I could be wrong.

I do not know what experience the OP has, and given the price of steel, I did not want him to waste material trying to cut this out of a single sheet, which is what would have happened. He drew two layers as one, and that caused a bit of confusion. That is all there is to it.

Have a great day out there in Arizona! I hear you are getting NOAH level rain! :Wow
