Fire pit shared on Miller welds.com

Post by tinspark »

Here is a fire pit that Miller shared along with the DXF file and a link to the instructions about how to put the thing together.
Thought a few might be interested in putting one of these together.
Post up a pic or two if you do.

Thanks tinspark!
Was just thinking of a project for my Great Niece! I've been teaching her how to use the PlasmaCam and weld so this will be a good one for her to help cut and put together!

This should be a nice project to teach her a few tricks.
There is a lot of welding on this if it is welded inside and out as is suggested in the instructional video attached in the video link above) I also Added a pic of it put together.
Its a little different, but pretty cool too!

I would consider splicing these in my CAD program and re-nesting the (4) smaller pieces. This would save a lot of drop. Especially the price of materials now-a-days..
And if i wanted to cheap out a bit, i might drop it a gauge or two, and redraw the “base” slip notch a bit smaller to accommodate the lighter gauge material.
