Just another fire pit

Every year the city I live in has a founders day "party" Years ago they cam and asked if i could make something to donate for their raffles. This is what I came up with and it ended being the one thing that everyone wanted, they come back every year and ask for one. I offer to do something different or even the same pit with different designs in it but they want the exact same thing, Which is fine by me because its already drawn up!

When finished it's 35" wide and 15" tall
Uses most of a 4x8 sheet but you can get 2 out of a 5x10

I couldn't tell you the angle honestly. I just did a little trial and error until they fit together good

I made them out of 10ga and painted with high temp bbq paint

I did the math, 52 degrees works just right. Also used 10 gauge and high temp paint.

I needed to make a firepit for a gift so I made two of these and I'll sell one of them. I did change the design a bit, but kept the overall shape that the OP drew up. I'm not sure how come his was only 35" wide though, because mine ended up being 50" at the widest point and about 43" from flat to flat. Mine was also 18-1/2" tall. No big deal though, my friend wanted a large firepit so doesn't matter.

CWPlasma - Would you please show us how you calculated the 52 degree bend angle for the sides? With maybe a sketch or two to help us better understand your process.

CWPlasma - I took another look at the bend angle calculation for the sides and this is what I came up with. My result is pretty close to your 52 degrees.
I will be curious to see how your approach compares to what I did. I'm always trying to learn something new from other members.
