Barn Mailbox

Post by plasmajoe »

Well got this mailbox finished today, thought I would share with you all. It is a mailbox for a rural farming family, they wanted their barn as the mailbox. I was happy to oblige.

Sweet! Is that font "Denmark"? You helped me find Denmark about a year ago, Thanks!

I need to get a brake to expand to projects like that, again very nice.

The Barn Mailbox dxf download doesn't work. I downloaded it and it is basically nothing but a big scribble. Maybe you could reload or share some other ideas. Great project I'd love to build for myself. Thank you.

I am importing it like any other dxf. file; just doesn't do anything. I must be missing something if everyone else is getting it to open up. Thanks.

I polylined it for you, and saved it as a AutoCad DXF 2000. Should open up now, I keep forgetting to converting it over to polylines. I don't like using polylines to much so I draw segmented. By converting it over some of the line got changed over to hidden lines, just follow the drawing I posted up to see what is going on with it.

Still not getting it to open correctly. In other words, one can not work with it in order to make it cut ready. The second download dxf was just like your drawing provided. The third download dxf, has a big triangle and that is it. Sure would like to have this for a project. Thank you.
