First time coloring with a torch

Post by GoingCustom »

Made these for a silent charity auction/event that helps battered women find housing. I have been wanting to try this type of finish for a while and at the request of my g/f, think she might be a keeper lol, I finally bought one! Opinions and constructive criticism is always welcomed! Thanks for looking :) Both files are from this site, keep up the great work!

Those are really nice.

I have been wanting to try the same thing.
My victor torches have been in the family for many many years and I needed to replace the cutting nozzle's and found out the torches were so old and had been recalled due to safety issues

I could not find anybody to sell me parts for them so.........I am going to have to get a new set.

I had always used plasma to cut and when I tried the gas torch I was hooked......

Well I better get a new set and try out the heat coloring as well.

Again, great job I bet they will be liked a lot, great cause too :D

I think if you sprayed a clear coat on those, It would bring out the colors even more!

Those are all Wonderful examples of heat coloring. I have been doing it for quite some time and really have had a lot of compliments. I put two to three coats of clear on mine, and even at times highlight with Chrome Illusion or sparkle clear.
Keep up the good work.

Neighbor across the street asked me to make him one of these for his soon to be wife as a present on their wedding day. Gave me an opportunity to do some more coloring with the torch :D
