Hey everyone. I'm from middle Tennessee. I've been running the table at work since we got it brand new (roughly six months ago), We're running the STV CNC Sparx4400 table with the optimum software. I'm mostly looking for tips and tricks for designing signs and what not.The software comes with its own cad which is handy for simple designs.I've had to use it to design a 4x8 sign which our table can't do which is why I'm currently needing to know how to convert a file from ucam to dxf.

Welcome aboard! If you can post a screen shot of your sign (as it looks on your monitor with the ucam software) then we can show you how to get it into dxf format. Or send me a pm and I will take a look and show you how to do it.

I went to the STV site and it says it uses MyPlasm CNC software, which comes with a basic cad drawing program called MyMiniCAD.Kadams135 wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 2:47 pm The software comes with its own cad which is handy for simple designs.I've had to use it to design a 4x8 sign which our table can't do which is why I'm currently needing to know how to convert a file from ucam to dxf.
Does your drawing program look like this?
I see no option to save in "ucam" format. Also the export function does not work - at least for me. Perhaps you could share a screen shot of the cad program you are referring to. If you can save as the *.2d format shown, then if you post your file I will convert it to dxf for you.

Re: adbuch
The software they sent with our table is very similar, but ours is the updated Optimum which has its own cad as well. It came with the Myplasm but i haven't used it any. I'll try and load it up and see what i can figure out

Hmmm... 110 miles away, and no easy way to get there. Okay! Just wondering who is in my local neck of the woods.

Yeah. Not too terribly far. The owner of the shop has an automotive paint and body supply warehouse here and has two stores, one in Louisville and one in Lexington. The name is Stories
