Now is the time to start cataloguing all of the DXF files that you will be downloading here, especially if you have not went through most of them as many of us did as new members of yesteryear.
That way you can find what you are looking for.
For instance, some have a folder marked animals, and in that folder there may be folders that say dog another one that may say cat etc.ird pig .
Or a folder that says automotive with subfolders of the different makes etc..And if their file says something like hot rod, I would change it to 68 Camaro etc so that it is more specific and easier to find in a future search for a Camaro etc….
Most members have thousands of files that they have either created or downloaded and those who do not have a retrieval system end up wasting a bunch of time searching through a pile of hay looking for a needle in a haystack. I had to organize them several years ago and it makes it much easier and not a pain in the backside looking for stuff. Now if I download something, It goes into an existing sub folder or maybe it is unique, and I just make a new file name……
