Hi, Tracing logos is simple. I can draw anything you might need, and there are many others here who can also accurately reproduce logos, using various vector design software and Photoshop, etc..JAABCUTZ wrote: Thu Jun 12, 2025 9:03 am I need help on a regular basis tracing people's logos. The issue that should concern you is, do you have the RIGHT to duplicate a specific logo? Logos usually come with either Trademarks or Copyrights. These are legal roadblocks that presumably prevent people other than the original author of the logo from copying the work of others without their knowledge or consent.
This means that a person usually needs written permission to duplicate the logo for commercial (for profit) purposes. The original creator of the logo might have legal protections against the reproduction of his work.
Now, there are those people

When you say "people's logos" it raises red flags for me. Companies have logos. Clubs have logos. Sports teams have logos. Products have logos. Most "people" do not have a logo. There is no such thing as a "Joe Jones LOGO."
Can you post some examples of what you are trying to trace, and reproduce, for profit? Do you want to cut these logos out of sheet metal on a cnc plasma table? Do you want them to be single layer logos, or multi-layer logos?
Some companies don't care much about the "small potatoes" ... guys like you and me, who make a CHEVY sign to sell at a flea market. They DO CARE about a person who reproduces logos for profit on a larger scale. To experience this first hand, just start making Harley-Davidson stuff in large quantities, and see how long you can go, before their attorneys contact you with a Cease and Desist letter, and possible a very large lawsuit that they WILL WIN.
Creating the art files by tracing logos is child's play, with the correct software.
LEGALLY reproducing the logos and selling them, is quite another story.
