I would suggest looking at the line of Miller welders. TIG is great for alum. Sometimes time consuming. There is MIG alum welding wire too. Be sure you have the right gas and sheilding pressure. And ALWAYS prep your area your gonna weld. If you try and weld dirty alum, your gonna get a bad weld.

jj you have the only 2 posts i see under this topic. not sure whats goin on.
Any how, I completely agree with you that however you weld alum, it demands you to thoroughly clean it or you're just wastin your time. I did a weld job today and I could tell everywhere I missed a little when cleaning. Welded with a Fronius CMT MIG. Don't matter how high tech a welder you have, dirt don't care. Any don't wear oily gloves either
