I'm having trouble finding the ohmeric retaining cap for powermax600 with pac123t torch. Harris doesn't list one. Can I just make a brass ring to attach the wire to the shield for sensing?
Thanks

Re: ohmeric retaining cap for ht600
Harris did not look hard enough. You can find any consumable for any Hypertherm system right on the http://www.hypertherm.com website . For an older (no longer in production) system like the Powermax600 there is a consumables catalog that you can open or download under the torch and consumables tab.
Here is a copy that I cut from the website for all of the consumable parts for your Powermax600 with the PAC123 torch...these are all for machine cutting regardless of using the hand torch or the machine torch. The ohmic retaining cap is right near the top, just under that regular retaining cap, part number 120964. If you take that number to Harris Welding supply they can order it for you....it is in stock at Hypertherm.

Thanks Jim!
Am I correct in thinking I will need to use the 220326 shield on my table with the finecut consumables?
Thanks

Yes, the 326 extends slightly beyond the nozzle and allows the ohmic contact function to operate. Also, make sure you use the correct swirl ring.....don't use the FineCut swirl ring as that is for hand cutting only.
