Powermax 65, Fine Cut, and 16 gauge mild steel
What rate do you cut this at? The manual says to cut 220 IPM for Powermax65 and Fine Cut consumables. Are you able to somehow slow the machine down and still get dross free cuts?

fine cut is 250 @78 amps 220 is slower
fine cut slow cut chart is 16 g @ 115 ipm 69 volts
you could try going a little slower the dross might not be too bad.
im cutting 16 at 250 ipm 78 amps and its cutting nice

There are two finecut charts in the Powermax65 manual, one is for best quality (high speed) cutting......and the other is for cutting at speeds below 150 ipm, as there are many machines that cannot maintain speeds over 150 ipm on intricate details.
I suggest following the specs from the manual. Dross is caused by cutting too slow, with too much power, or with incorrect height.
