Constructive feedback:
This file was a mess. Not sure what you used to create it. There were all kinds of lines that were overlaped and/or not connected. As far as the drop outs you had a few issues in the trees just above the cabin other than that it looked ok. It may still not be completely cleaned up but it is better. Some of the cut outs that are in the trees could probably be removed because they are to small depending on what size you plan on cutting. You may want to also smooth out the lettering some, or find the font and simply start over with the writing. Hopefully this is helpful.

Thanks, I use plasmacam 3.11 I open and dont have the lines every where that is strange I do know what your talking about because I open some files from the site I get that. This is going to be about 62''x23.75''. I not sure how it happens but no matter how I save it on some projects Im having to clean things up I can have a really clean looking project and then save it and close it out then open it up and my lines go from __________that to this _______----____-----_____ and I have saved them in DXF and PCM.

If you can swing it I would highly suggest upgrading to DesignEdge. Everything is so much easier to do. But it is expensive and one has to ask himself if it is justifiable.

things have changed around here, I see a lot of people downloading the new files and not so much as a thanks or comment. If we all fall into that rut I for one won't feel like posting my work or ideas if it's not going to be appreciated.

The design looks good but a bit stretched I wonder holding the 62 stretch it the other way to 36 and have another look, I know in the interest of using the materials to the max I try to make stuff that works with the sheet but sometimes to get the wow thing gotta go bigger. For a piece like your making there I would be about 375.00

I believe that this started out as a request for help. I downloaded the file to provide the assistance that was requested. If you would like to start a rant about how you don't get the attention you need, please start your own thread. Many times I have provided assistance that was requested here without a thanks. Sometimes that happens.

Thank you for the download and the opportinity to provide my time to fix your file.

Why are you having a shot at him. I've been on quite a few forums and as far as laziness and lack of gratitude goes, this one is growing in strength. I see a growing trend to free dxf conversion without asking HOW it's done too, and some members have been doing this for months. I have personally communicated with several members that have left or become very inactive on the forum for reasons like this. I'm actually gobsmacked that more people don't say a word here and there when someone hasn't got the courtesy to say a little thanks, etc. Of course it could get a little ridiculous if a dxf posting thread was filled up with a zillion "thank you" posts.

It wasn't the OP who said that statement, and as far as I'm concerned he has my support. Shooting someone down when he expresses distaste with a lack of gratitude only helps to make this forum more of a freeloaders haven.

You may be happy with offering help and not getting a little thank you, but don't expect others should be. Yes it happens, but that doesn't mean it's fine.

Keith,
He was saying that this thread wasn't started to share a file. It was started by the OP asking for help with his file.
gcw8 made a statement that there were 32 downloads and not one thank you. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that downloaded the file to try and help, but m79b01 got it done first. Should everyone that downloaded the file to check it for dropouts thank the OP for the opportunity to hone our skills?
MIFab thanked m79b01 for his assistance.

My god man I was making an observation. Do you honestly think I was pointing a finger at you? lol I simply think that a little appreciation goes along way. If you put something up and I downloaded it I would thank you for it and hope to return the favour some day That's it That's all ... GC

If this was a file that I had spent hours on just to share it I be sitting here with a bad taste in my mouth. This is just a thread asking for others to help me to make sure the thing won't fall apart when I cut it ..... I'm very grateful for the help from others it Suck's that people take advantage of this site and others that are willing to help . Thanks for the help and feed back!

The LAST thing I would have thought is that the 32 downloads were all members trying to help. Being conservative I'd say more than half were just after the file. So I certainly didn't think GC was implying members should be saying thank you for the opportunity to help, and I'm a bit shocked that anyone has interpreted him that way.
Perhaps the comment didn't quite fit on this thread, but when m79b01 made a comment like "start a rant about how you don't get the attention you need", that was completely out of line, although I now get the impression he misunderstood GC. The intention of GC was good as far as I am concerned and should not be responded to like that. As a matter of fact, more people like GC would be a good thing for this forum.

Come on guys - when you post up a file here you expect people to download it. I have made quite a few post's and do not expect everyone to gush it over and thank me. I do it because I can ------. My suggestion- if anyone posts a file on here and expects everyone that downloads to thank them then request it. Geez

Well said Bill. Someone a while back recommended a "like" button, kinda like facebook has, or even a "thanks" button, which would be all around a better idea then flooding a thread with a bunch of thank yous.

I dont get as much time to get on here and help with drawings as Id like, but anytime Ive shared I dont expect people to say thank you. If I cared that much I just wouldnt post. We are all grown men and women, and if you get your feelings hurt because someone didnt get on their knees and kiss your feet maybe you just shouldnt post the file. I know some will disagree with that, but obviously I dont care. Not trying to be an ass, but we all are trying to earn a living and are busy and I highly doubt there is anyone on here that would not be grateful for the file they download whether they say so or not. And if there are people like that on here, then f*** them.

Well, my parents brought me up to show just a little appreciation when someone helps you.

But what the hell, it's silly and childish, and you're just a big cry baby if you would like nothing more than a little thank you. Tell you what, why don't we all make a point of never saying thankyou for anything here any more.

Let's see how that works out.

Everyone is different Keith, im not saying people shouldnt say thank you, im saying it doesnt bother me. How about this, if I share a file or advice or whatever, Ill make it known now I dont need a thank you from anyone. I just hope I helped someone. My parents raised me to show appreciation as well, and whenever Ive been helped on here I have always said thank you, look at my post history it will prove that.

And like I said before the bigger issue is not showing appreciation, its HOW. I really think a like button or something similar would be better than every person thay downloads a file saying thank you on one thread. But as Ive said before, what do I know Im just a dumbass welder.

I agree, I wasnt trying to ruffle feathers, everyone has different opinions and thats what makes us all human. Nobody is right or wrong on the issue, at the end of the day we are all part of a great community that does amazing work.

Just saw this thread and I would agree we just need to accept the fact that everywhere we go outside or online we will encounter selfish, entitled individuals that take take take and give nothing. They won't keep me away because I believe you get what you give which makes them the real losers. No need to point out the obvious and stir the pot cause its a sore spot for all of us who contribute our time and efforts to this community. Mifab asked a question, got some help and few of you were able to vent so lets move on and not stir things up. :D
