Metamation Help
Just wondering if anyone has experience using MetaCam for creating cut files, but more importantly nesting of parts. We have 3 computers that we use to create nesting. The problem is we can only open a nest to add parts etc. with the same computer that it was created on. If we try to open a nest to add parts on a different computer than it was created on a it erros out. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and more importantly how it can be fixed.

Re: Metamation Help
It sounds to me like all the data needed to manipulate the file is not being stored with the file. Maybe there's an option that lets you store all the required information with the file.

Re: Metamation Help
I should add that the main computer that everything is saved on can open a nest that any computer is saved. Its the other 2 that can't open it if it wasn't saved on that computer

Just a thought but is it a program that requires you to licence any other seats to give you full use of all functions on secondary installations ? Sounds like it could be if one will fully function works produced on the others but not the other way around. A way some software developers protect their product, if so you normally have to go back to the software provider to get a new key code if your computer dies to allow you full use on another computer.
