I use DesignEdge software, which makes something like this child's play to trace. Yes, it wolf take some time, but it is an easy task. If you have good design software, this should be no challenge at all to trace.

Welcome aboard dztrataz! I assume that is Desert Rat Arizona. I live in Tucson - what part of the state are you located in? Here is something similar I found on Etsy.dzrtrataz wrote: Sat Mar 11, 2023 5:35 pm I know this thread is old, Just wondering if anyone has this file and willing to share or sell. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1012723293 ... utlass-dxf What design/drawing software are you using? Inkscape is free and would be very well suited to creating the exact file Tom shows, or at least something similar. If Tom sees this and still has his file, perhaps he will share it here. Otherwise this would be a good chance for you to try your hand at creating something similar based on the one show above.

The entire inside of that design is islands. It is similar though.adbuch wrote: Sun Mar 12, 2023 1:31 am

That takes care of the islands. Good job, Dave! This particular design is okay. There are cleaner, crisper designs but of course, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I thought about tracing the other one but I just didn't want to spend the time on the project.

Thanks and you assumed correct. I'm in the Glendale, next Phoenix. I will look into Etsy, I just like that file as I have that in my shadow box. I use Inkscape and Fusion. I will spend the time doing it, just figured I would ask first. Thanks for the input.

Re: CPO Patch
Hi Ralph - you're just 100 miles up the road from us. Small world! You could send Tom (acourtjester) a pm and ask if he still has the file. If he can find it I would expect that he would be happy to share it with you. Otherwise have some fun with Inkscape and recreate it for yourself. If you decide to go that route, let us know if you get stuck and we might have some suggestions. It's always more satisfying to "do it yourself" and lots of fun as well.

Re: CPO Patch
Thanks Joe! I was just trying to show the OP some possibilities of what he could do with a file like that. I did it from an Inkscape auto trace of the Etsy photo. I agree that it could be "tuned up" for a better result.Joe Jones wrote: Sun Mar 12, 2023 12:28 pm That takes care of the islands. Good job, Dave! This particular design is okay.
