My variation of the Farm Scene

Post by mekanic13 »

I have made several variations of the Farm scene donated by Jason. The latest was a request from a customer that rebuilds Farmalls. He sent me a picture of the restored tractor and asked if I could insert it into the scene. The piece is about 44" wide. I removed the mountains and sun and swapped the cat out for a rooster. The painting was done using a drybrush method that my wife taught me. It's a method she used to use painting ceramics. After all of the detail work is done I sprayed several coats of clear satin for protection. I wish I would have gotten better pictures but at least I remembered to get something this time. And again, thanks to Jason for a great file.

That's superb!
Great skills you have there, can I ask what type of paint you use for those sort of pieces?
Thanks

I'm sure it looks 10x better in person. I can barely make out some grass and other details which I'm sure add to the overall effect. thanks for sharing

Thanks,

The piece is spray painted flat black then dry-brushed with acrylic paints from the hobby store.

I have cut this one myself, the original file can be found here viewtopic.php?p=41864 The OP edited it, removed the truck and replaced it with a tractor. Hope this gets you what you need.
