Have everything set up and working but am having a problem triggering the plasma on and off.
Using a CNC Router parts table
Sheetcam software pair with mach3
i have the plasma wired into the router box where the router on and off would go. If i generate a GCode and go in manually to edit and add M3 to turn plasma on during the Z axis downward, and M5 to turn off when it comes up, im good. This is kind of a hassle. Is there a way around this? Does sheetcam have an option to enter this information for me? I'm still fairly new at this, thanks for you help.

Re: Having to manually edit gcode to turn plasma on/off
Sounds like you might be using the wrong post processor for your machine.
Try the MP1000 post and it should help with your problems.
I would also post on the SC section here on plasmaspider.
Good luck
Gary

Hey Gary, i changed the post processor and it looks like this might clear up my problem for me. I will try it tomorrow morning, Thanks!
